CPA Nyakawa joined the board of Bomas of Kenya as a representative of the Cabinet Secretary, The National Treasury on 24th November 2023. CPA Nyakawa is a Public Financial Management (PFM) Expert with nearly three decades of experience in public finance. She’s an alumnus of the university of Nairobi (B. Com), Daystar University (Master of Counselling Psychology) and USIU-Africa (MBA). She started her career as an auditor in the then Office of the Controller and Auditor General. She has served as Chief of Finance and Head of Internal Audit in various ministries

Currently serving as a Senior Deputy Director at the National Treasury, she has had a diverse career journey. She commenced her professional endeavours as an Auditor in the Office of the Controller & Auditor General and has since held key roles such as Chief of Finance and Head of Internal Audit in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Active in professional circles, CPA Nyakawa is a member of esteemed bodies including ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya), ICSK (Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya), ICIFA (Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts), and AWAK (Association of Women Accountants of Kenya).
Beyond her official duties, CPA Nyakawa extends her expertise to various Boards, contributing both in her official capacity and through private engagements. Passionate about community involvement, she dedicates her time to serving on school boards and finds fulfilment in mentoring teenagers and young individuals. CPA Nyakawa surrounds her life philosophy in the mantra "here to make a difference," reflecting her commitment to impactful contributions in public finance and community service.
